NIRLUS’ main product is a near-infrared and ultrasound based device, which can measure blood sugar levels non-invasively. Targeting a market of 400m people, the device is at the prototype stage and has been currently tested in a clinical trail under the supervision of Prof Dr. Sebastian Schmid, Center of Brain, Behaviour and Metabolism (CBBM) of the University of Lübeck, Germany.

This proprietary device contains core technology, including software which was developed by NILUS’ team over the course of a decade. The most integral component is a specially designed sensor head, which deploys 4 near-infrared lasers and modulated ultrasound sources and sensors.
